8月10日（上周三），武汉大学媒体发展研究中心环境与科学传播研究所所长纪莉教授代表中心受邀参加由巴哈瓦尔普尔伊斯兰大学组织的“环境保护和社会责任”第一届国际会议，并在会上做了《中国媒体中的环境责任建构》主题发言。
On August 10, Prof. Ji Li, Director of the Institute of Environmental and Scientific Communication of the Center for Studies of Media Development (CSMD) was invited to attend the first International Conference on "Environmental Protection and Social Responsibility" organized by Bahawalpur Islamic University on behalf of the Center and made a keynote speech on "Construction of Environmental Responsibility in Chinese Media"

来自芬兰、澳大利亚、巴西、印度、巴基斯坦和中国的多位学者，以及来自《中国环境报》的业界人士受邀围绕气候变化、环境责任等问题展开丰富发言与讨论。我中心纪莉教授在报告中指出环境责任议题的报道涉及国家责任、企业责任、个人责任等不同主体的责任认知。媒体对该议题的塑造对全球环境保护的推动与发展影响重大，呼吁学者就该议题进行广泛的跨文化、跨区域的合作研究。该发言获得与会嘉宾的高度赞扬。
Scholars from Finland, Australia, Brazil, India, Pakistan and China, with media industry professionals from China Environment Reports were invited to give rich presentations and discussions on climate change, environmental responsibility and other issues. Professor Ji Li pointed out in the report that the coverage of environmental responsibility issues involves the responsibility perception of different subjects such as national responsibility, corporate responsibility and individual responsibility. The media's construction of this issue has a significant impact on the promotion and development of global environmental protection, and called on scholars to work together to conduct extensive cross-cultural and cross-regional collaborative research on this issue. The presentation was highly praised by the participants.

The governor of Punjab province of Pakistan, the chairman of Pakistan Higher Education Commission, the chairman of Punjab Higher Education Commission, the president of Bahawalpur Islamic University, and the heads of important think tanks and high officials of Pakistan attended the meeting. In recent years, environmental issues have increasingly become an emerging hot research field in international and cross-cultural communication. Baligh-ur-Rehman, Governor of Punjab province of Pakistan, pointed out at the meeting that climate change is a major challenge facing the world. Punjab province of Pakistan supported the establishment of an academic consortium related to the environment at Bahawalpur Islamic University to provide suggestions to relevant government departments on environmental protection.
